NFADA is a "Not for Profit" corporation formed under Chapter 617 of the State of Florida Statutes. NFADA includes the city's foremost fine art dealers committed to representing the highest standards of fine art.

Elected by their peers, members of the association recognize the importance of integrity and responsibility in working with artists, collectors, museum professionals and the entire cultural community.

Members of NFADA regularly share their knowledge and resources with the art community and the general public. In addition to exhibitions, NFADA galleries also offer a broad range of services and activities:

• Cooperation with artists, collectors, museums, art associations, educational institutions and individuals.
• Advice to members and others on matters concerning visual arts, high standards of fine art and related ethical business practices.
• Collection management advice and consultation to the public regarding acquisitions, installations, framing, lighting, transportation, storage, and direction on how to begin, build or maintain a collection.
• Educational programs and speakers for programs related to individual NFADA members' expertise.
• Promotion of Naples as a major international art market.

Membership is by invitation of the Board only. A candidate for membership must be nominated by an existing member gallery; must be approved by a two-thirds majority of the Board; must be widely believed to have an excellent reputation for sound ethics and good business practices; must represent multiple artists (more than five); must have been in business for a minimum of five years (but not necessarily in the same location); must deal primarily in original works of art (which may be in a variety of media such as paint, glass, bronze, clay, film etc.)
